Patrick started his golf career in Scottsdale at the age of 15. He worked at the TPC Scottsdale outside service picking the range and cleaning carts in high school under GM Bill Grove. He also worked for the Thunderbirds in college in the Scoring and Communications division of the Phoenix Open helping run the tournament each year. Patrick played high school golf at Desert Mountain High School.
Patrick taught himself to spear fish in Maui starting in 2002. What was once a couple time per year hobby has now become a way of life to catch sustainable food form the reefs of Puerto Rico in Patrick's backyard. Patrick formed a spear fishing group when he moved to Puerto Rico in 2002 that now has over 100 members and regularly meets to fish the reefs and also blue water buoys offshore. Patrick has fished all over the world in Bali, France, Italy, St Lucia, Brazil, Hawaii, Bahamas, Canada, Dominica Republic, United States and Puerto Rico.
Patrick is Padi certified and has conducted over 150 open water dives all over the world including Bali, France, Italy, St Lucia, Brazil, Hawaii, Bahamas, Canada, Dominica Republic, United States and Puerto Rico.
Beach tennis is a popular sport in Puerto Rico and Brazil and Patrick picked it up when he moved to Puerto Rico. Its played entirely through vollies (the ball is not allowed to bounce on the sand) and the ball is depressurized to allow it travel more slowly and allow for longer rallies. The net is also higher similar to beach volleyball courts .
Patrick grew up from the age of 7 playing a lot of Squash in Canada and then in NYC and was also an avid tennis player. So Padel which is a combination of the two was a nautral evolution and Patrick has been playing a lot of Padel with friedns in Puerto Rico and other cities as well.
